Scaling Up Digital Learning in Tamil Nadu Schools

Implementing Department : Department of School Education

The innovative project funded by the Tamil Nadu Innovation Initiatives (TANII) has transformed the educational landscape across the state. Initially, 64 schools were equipped with an Integrated Computer, Projector, and Strolly Bag, benefiting 29,688 students. This project introduced computer-aided learning, making the teaching-learning process in classrooms more interesting and interactive. Additionally, it provided access to digital content relevant to various subjects, enhancing the overall educational experience.

Building on the success of this initiative, the government has allocated Rs. 400 crores to scale up the scheme. This funding will enable the provision of one Smart Board per school and an Integrated Computer, Projector, and Strolly Bag per kit. By leveraging TANII funds, this project continues to drive innovation in education, ensuring that more students across Tamil Nadu have access to advanced digital learning tools and resources. This expansion underscores the state’s commitment to integrating technology into education, fostering an environment of interactive and engaging learning for students.
